Russian stocks seen flat on neutral background, no major events

MOSCOW, Sep 13 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks are expected to open neutrally on Thursday amid a mixed foreign background and a lack of major events, analysts said.

“We expect a neutral opening of the MOEX Russia Index with a moderate change of up to 0.3%, around the level of 2,340 points. The nearest support levels will again be 2,330 and 2,320 points. The main resistance will remain at 2,350 and 2,360 points,” Vitaly Manzhos, a senior risk manager at investment company Algo Capital, said.

Before the start of trading in Russia, the U.S. stock index futures are demonstrating growth of 0.25%, Brent oil futures lost around 0.6%, gold futures fell 0.1%, Japan’s Nikkei225 rose 0.9%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng increased 1.4%.
